Activities and Dates

Gumtree Family
Australia’s iconic Gum Trees are a home and sanctuary for many species of animals.  Each gum tree has its own collection of residents just like a family living together amongst its branches, roots and around its trunk.  What animals will Mini Museum Explorers find in and around our beautiful museum gumtree?

  • Tuesday 29 July 10-10:30am & 10:45-11:15am
  • Tuesday 05 Aug 10-10:30am & 10:45-11:15am

Lifecycles of the Winged, Furry and Fabulous
These sessions introduce our Mini Museum Explorers to the lifecycles of some of our amazing Australian animals. From Insects to Reptiles, Birds to Mammals there is an incredible array of growth stages amongst living things.

  • Tuesday 12 August 10-10:30am & 10:45-11:15am
  • Tuesday 19 August 10-10:30am & 10:45-11:15am

Where I Belong (Animal Homes)
Through stories, sensory play, and creative activities, Mini Museum Explorers will learn what home looks like for different types of Australian animals. Do you know what a spider’s home looks like? What about a wombat’s home? Does a magpie’s home look the same as a cockatoo’s home?

  • Tuesday 26 August 10-10:30am & 10:45-11:15am
  • Tuesday 2 September 10-10:30am & 10:45-11:15am
